Removable Appliance Instructions

You are now wearing your new brace. Try to follow the instructions you have been given, and remember are here to help you as much as we can.

Amount of Wear

• You need to wear your brace all the time, including sleeping, eating and drinking.

• To begin with, expect to take longer eating. Once you get used to
  the brace, it will get easier.

Toothbrushing

• Remove your brace after every meal and clean your teeth; this includes lunchtime at school.
• Clean your brace with toothpaste over a sink of water. This way if you drop it, it won’t break. Soak your brace (after brushing it) in retainer brite each day if you want to. We strongly recommend you use a fluoride mouthwash each day, at a different time to brushing.
