Retainer Instructions

You are now wearing your retainers; they are very important. If you don’t wear them, your teeth will move and return to their original position.

• For the first 2 weeks, wear your retainers all the time, day and night.
• After the first 2 weeks, follow the instructions from your orthodontist.
• Take your retainers out to eat and drink. Clean your teeth as soon as you have finished eating, then put your retainers back in.
• Clean your retainers with toothpaste and cold water.

• Make sure the retainer is well rinsed before replacing it in your mouth.
• There is a charge if you lose or break your retainers. Please ensure you keep them somewhere safe when they are not in mouth. Retainer boxes are available at reception.

If you cannot wear your retainers as instructed for any reason for, ring the practice straight away.

DON’T FORGET, IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THAT FABULOUS SMILE, YOU MUST WEAR YOUR RETAINERS!
