Since April 2008 we have had the pleasure and privilege of having Dr Istvan Somoskovi in our team. Sadly on Tuesday 31st July he will be leaving the Practice and will return to his native Hungary.
Isty joined us back in 2008 and since then many orthodontic patients have had the benefit of his kindness and expertise. He has also been our specialist for Invisalign treatment, a mantle which Dr Clare has now taken up.
At the 2011 Smile Awards, Isty was “Highly Commended” in the category of Orthodontic Smiles – Fixed Appliances.
We have all had great fun with Isty being in the Practice and him trying to teach us words in Hungarian, whilst we have also translated words for him, one of the best being ‘paperclip’! As a keen fly fisherman we have enjoyed hearing tales of “it really was this big….” Isty is also a keen cook and we have all enjoyed sampling some of the Hungarian dishes he has brought in.
The team are all very sad to see Isty go but would like to say “Viszlát és sok sikert kívánok a jövőben!” which translates to “Goodbye and good luck for the future!”
