Dr Matthew Clare

I love orthodontic treatment because it combines art and science in equal measure. There is only one thing more satisfying to me than creating someone’s perfect smile – and that is seeing the look on their face when you show them the finished result!

My mother was a nurse at Great Ormond Street Childrens’ Hospital and my father was an artist, so being an orthodontist seemed like the most natural thing in the world to me. I love my job and working with the wonderful team I have been proud to create around me over the last 15 years in Lincoln. Above all, I value being able to contribute positively to people’s lives.

Professionally, since qualifying in 1996 at Guy's Hospital in London, I have undertaken many years of study, including Specialist Orthodontic training in Bristol, where I held the post of Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics at the teaching hospital for three years.

I have presented lectures both nationally and abroad, but I now concentrate just on clinical cases, as that is where my real passion lies.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and twin children – ideally either playing tennis or skiing with my family.

Dr Hamza Parvez

Specialist Orthodontist

BDS, MSC DPH, MSC Ortho, RCS

Hamza qualified as a dentist in 2009 and has since gained extensive experience working in hospitals and private practices across Asia, Africa, and the UK. He further specialised in Orthodontics at the prestigious King’s College London, where he earned his Master's in Orthodontics and gained valuable experience at both King’s College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital. Hamza is also a proud member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where he obtained his MOrth degree.

Trained under some of the leading experts in orthodontics, Hamza also holds a Master's degree in Dental Public Health from King’s College London. As a strong advocate of lifelong learning, he regularly attends conferences and courses worldwide to stay updated on the latest technological advancements in orthodontics, ensuring the best outcomes for his patients.

Hamza is skilled in all forms of conventional orthodontics, including complex cases that require surgical and restorative procedures, as well as the latest techniques like aligners and invisible braces.

Dr Taiyub Raja

Specialist Orthodontist

Meet Taiyub, who is one of our Specialist Orthodontists. He has been providing orthodontic treatment for over 10 years, having completed 3-year orthodontic specialist training program at Leeds Dental Institute, and gaining his Orthodontic qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons.

He is highly experienced in treating children as well as adults, having worked in both specialist practices and hospital orthodontic departments. He offers fixed braces (ceramic and metal options are available), Aligners, Functional brace treatment, and other interventions for growing children.

He qualified as a dentist from Sheffield University in 2003, and spent several years working in dental practice, which was followed by hospitals positions in Paediatric Dentistry, Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry – before embarking on straightening teeth!

He has had a number of papers published, including research on the use of retainers that he had personally conducted during his Master’s degree in Orthodontics. He presented the findings at the British Orthodontic Conference, and he keeps up-to date with advances in the field of orthodontics.
